Pirates of the Caribbean Racing to World's End

Pirates of the Caribbean

Seeking fun and adventure, the most popular pirates saga is finally coming to an end, what a pity. Great action around Captain Barbossa, Elizabeth, Will Turner and Captain Jack Sparrow. Lot's of water and stunning cinematic visual effects. After 'The Curse of the Black Pearl' and 'Dead Man's Chest' now:

Funtastic Artistic do Brazil: Capoeira at Jericoacoara

It's a pleasure to watch this guy celebrating the high arts of capoeira in Jericoacoara, located in the northeast of Brazil, close to the equator. Powered by natural trade winds it's the number one place for radical sports such as windsurfing and kite in Brazil. Excellent skills, perfect conditions, beautiful beaches...

Second Life Casinos in the Headlines
According to eCOGRA people say 'the best things about Internet gambling are ‘convenience and accessibility’ and ‘fun and excitement’, while ‘losing’ and ‘financial implications’ came top of the worst things.'
According to Reuters it seems like 'wannabe casino-style operators' have invaded SL and attracted the attention of the FBI probing Second Life gambling casinos. From Reuters:
'Hundreds of casinos offering poker, slot machines and blackjack can be found in Second Life.'
Immersive environments like Second Life create an even more exciting 3D experience and people are using them as a platform to meet, communicate and shop, to participate in virtual 3D events and to conduct gambling on a level of interaction they have never experienced before.

Soon New Gmail Capacity: Infinity Plus One
Despite extensively making use of Gmail backing up files, mails and articles labeling them and archiving them I never ran out of space or lost any data on Gmail. But good to know that Google will increase Gmail's capacity to 'Infinity Plus One'. First I did not understand what it means, but after reading this article especially these sequences:
'...they would be using new RAID technologies which allow them to store copies of e-mail in parallel universes'
'"Once your Yahoo e-mail box is full, you'll be able to transfer it to Gmail and add one more message," said Tomkins. "Those Yahoos will have a hard time beating that."'
it clarified - and the new RAID technologies make data even more safe. Late April fool's, but probably true one day.

  A V for Vendetta...
...Mission Impossible III, 16 Blocks and many more new trailers for the DVD season are available now in Google Video. It's even more fun to find them via AJAX on one's own blog and make the purchase decision.

Driven by key factors like self-expression, collaboration, digitization of content and easy-to-use software that streamlines the process of creating and updating content the passive customer has changed into an active creator. Digital content management and distribution systems have empowered an increasing segment of customers to edit, create and share content.

While traditional media have content embedded making it only consumable at a certain time new media enhance the customer experience unfurling channels, formats and devices, but make it also necessary to experiment and find the winning media formats of the future.

Check it out further down the page.

Being First to Publish New Information
Isn't it fantastic, within seconds one can take part in a worldwide distributed live-communication and reach an international audience living in states such as California, New York, Florida, Germany, China and even Israel and New Zealand?

As a result of a constantly growing acceptance of social media the global audience has set a new standard for online creative content, online news, audio and video streaming with a potential to reach participators not bounded to a single geographical region or language and thus to broaden reach and to attract the attention of niche markets and markets that did not exist before.

  Fascination of Immersive 3D Experiences
Immersing oneself in scuba diving is not only a passion or a lifestyle, it's a great opportunity for self improvement, to meet a lot of great people, to share that experience with others and to help to preserve that experience for the future.

Immersing oneself in virtual worlds to explore new places and opportunities is an exiting new trend and engagement that may represent the next steps in the evolution of the Internet complementing that of ubiquitous computing.
Currently there is about 12 mio people who participate in and with MMOG's regularly, every second is involved in WOW and assuming that an average player is about 30 years old and spends more than 20 h a week participating in his favorite experience immersive 3D experiences represent attractive new business opportunities.

Why I'm fascinated? Because I like diving...

When I started scuba diving more then 10 years ago I remember my motivation was to explore new places and experience a different world with new colors, shapes, textures and creatures in clear, tropical water staying underwater for periods of time greater than human breath-holding ability allows. I followed several PADI courses and 100 dives later I passed the instructor level with the leading organization Euro Divers Worldwide.

Trendy: More Online Video Entertainment in 2007
Since I expressed my thoughts last summer about the hottest topics on the Web Blogging, Video Sharing, Social Networking and Socializing on Tech-Based Interaction the gravity has further shifted to sites featuring online video and entertainment especially among very young target groups. BBC brought an excellent special about online video and the future of TV:
The technology behind the recent success of digital video distribution, the use of Flash which allows users to easily embed videos onto their own web pages complements that of blogging, forums, or web-pages.

I did a bit of research on the Internet for streaming video content over the Web that will enhance the online media experience for video enthusiasts. Brightcove, Bittorrent, You Tube, Veoh, Video Egg... and created a list of more than 40 sites. For the case of a very specialized scene like 'Skiing Le Face du Charvet in Val d'Isere, France' I set up a customized search engine that allows to search and find across those networks:
Here a list of more than 40 online video distribution networks:

Find Many Unexpected Scenes from 'Borat'
I quickly created a comprehensive video sharing search engine. No matter if 'Best of Borat', 'The South' or Borat's MySpace Profile. Here you can find all Borat related videos, mashups and movies across the most comprehensive video sharing sites and communities until the last details:

Funny entertaining clips, international TV shows, home-made amateur star videos currently dominate the needs of an international audience.

Since electronic publishing has become more and more individual networks are deployed to share amateur-made videos, personal mesh ups of film screenings and discussion programs and to reflect the diversity of culture.
I think that content and users have become more sophisticated, creators, participators and businesses are able now to respond through ever increasing online connectivity and to deliver electronically at any hour around the clock.

Woidboyz MTV Video, I Just Can't Stop Laughing!
Many people asked what kind of language the Woidboyz speak, well it's not easy to identify and even most Germans might have a problem with it, however it is German, but with a charming deep Bavarian accent. Funny MTV-Wildboyz-Parodie from Bavaria, must see:
