Located at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula Sharm el Sheikh is an entry point to a series of spectacular dive sites including the northern safari route through the Red Sea which is famous for its sunken ship wrecks featuring the Jolanda Reef near Sharm el Sheik (one of the most famous of the northern Red Sea dive sites, but very busy) and famous ship wrecks such as the SS Thistlegorm (busy as Piccadilly Circus) which best can be visited by Safari Boat from Sharm El Sheikh and is recommended to advanced scuba divers due to it's depth.
