Going to the Edge - Skype
After reaching mass acceptance through their decentralized peer-to-peer network with more than 25 million subscribers
Skype, the Global Internet Telephony Company, goes mobile now.
During the
3GSM World Congress in Cannes they allianced with
Motorola, a global leader in seamless mobility, to co-market ‘Skype Ready’ companion products like Bluetooth headsets, dongles, and speakerphones, as well as delivery of the Skype Internet Telephony experience on selected Motorola mobile devices.
The first products are expected to be available in the first half of 2005, perhaps already on the
CeBIT 2005.
Podcasting - Making Noise on the Web
Podcasting is a portmanteau word made of iPod and broadcasting. Podcasts are audio streams commonly recorded in mp3 format and can be played with any mp3 player.
Podcasting differs from broadcasting in that it uses the mechanism of the listeners pulling the pushpublished (podcasted) audio files on demand or automaticly.
Im exited what kind of digital equipment and services will be exhibited on
CeBIT 2005.
CeBIT 2005 - Solutions for a Digital World
After a long time it's time to go there, I'm curious about the CeBIT 2005 in Hannover, Germany, 10 - 16 March, 2005.
The progressive convergence of the IT, telecom, software, content and services markets will be reflected at CeBIT 2005 and CeBIT remains the world's most popular ICT event.
Areas to certainly be visited:
- Business Processes
- Communications
- Digital Equipment & Services

Red Bull Copilot - The Ultimate Video Viewing Experience
Pure broadband experience with several viewing angles fusing television and web exposure gives one the feeling of being the copilot sitting directly in the cockpit taking over steering tasks.
Realization through cross format and cross browser cutting edge flash video streaming technology reaches over 28% more people than using the next generation of a media player.
I'm totally impressed.

3GSM Cannes - Ubiquitous Connection
GPRS/3G/Wi-Fi products: PDA and Laptop Cards
O2 offers a list of GPRS/3G/Wi-Fi products, with both its Xda wireless PDA range and support for a wide range of PC cards. O2’s Connection Manager software combines an internal W-LAN capability in a laptop computer with its own 3G and GPRS datacard.
T-Mobile offers its own 3G laptop card with Wi-Fi, while its recently announced MDA IV PDA will offer GPRS/3G/Wi-Fi compatibility.
Vodafone offers a combined 3G/GPRS card (the 3G Mobile Connect card), a GPRS-only card and the Vodafone W-LAN card for Wi-Fi.
Orange’s 3G Mobile Office datacard is compatible with both 3G and GPRS, and it also offers a combined GPRS/HSCSD/W-LAN card.
Eplus: Datacard
HSDPA somewhen in 2006: The term stands for High Speed Downlink Packet Access; in a nutshell, HSDPA is to 3G what GPRS is to GSM, is as fast as W-LAN
Dramatical Fall of the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI)
As I believed
a few days ago it is proven now: The ACSI of eBay fell by 5 % compared to one year before. But in total an ACSI of 80 is still overaverage and eBay did not lose it's leading position among the online auctioneers.
Amazon.com also dropped 5% down from 88 to an ACSI of 84 and lost it's leading position to it's hardest books competitor barnesandnoble.com. The reason is seen in the fact that Amazon.com sells a wider range of products like electronics etc. which require more intensive customer service interactions than books. And they were so proud on an ACSI of 88....

Glorious Shopping Tour at eBay
Yes, I got everything to complete my spring and summer collection. A huge selection, high quality at good prices and last but not least the sniper thrill factor :-) make eBay to one of my favorite shopping spots on the web.
I also noticed that they added a tremendous amount of new handling features. I believe an average customer might be swamped to use them, iconography and menu prompt could be more intuitive.
I'm exited what the
American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) will report in the
Fourth Quarter Scores on February 15, 2005.
