  uCommerce Anywhere and Anytime
Key fact for uCommerce anywhere and anytime is the net coverage. Latest successfull example is the introduction of Toll Collect in Germany.
The automatic toll booking system is based on an innovative combination of GPS (Global Positionning System), LBS (Location Based Services), GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) and OBU (On Board Unit).
The OBU determines the covered route distance via GPS and LBS and calculates the toll fees.
All this wonderfull, advanced innovative automated system is only possible, because Germany has a GSM net coverage of above 98%.

Celebration of Search Technology Part II
Sometimes it is just like intuition: You talk about the celebration of search technology and a few days later it's going to happen: Yahoo! and Google launched of course their new beta video search. While Google focuses the content of leading TV content providers, Yahoo! includes it's own content from Launch etc.

Celebration of Search Technology, Peer-To-Peer Networks and Blogs
The latest Nielsen//Netratings analysis shows, that the major german internet shopping sites, Amazon, OTTO, Neckermann, lost between 9% and 12% unique visitors in the months of November and December 2004 compared to the year before.
The winner were shopping bots like Yahoo's Kelkoo +37% and shopping malls like T-Online +7%.
This indicates the major trend: A proceeding structural change in the (german) internet. People tend to make use of product search technology (see Google's Froogle), peer-to-peer networks (personal recommendations) and last but not least blogging.
This is a great chance of growth for smaller traders. Niche products can be extremly successful now.

  Digital Business - Conceptual Overview
Andreas Engel - Business Consultant

The high dynamic of the digital economy in the technology driven markets eCommerce, IT and telecommunication requires a steady optimization of the business concept. I worked out a concept how to grow and optimize the different areas in your business.
By the use of my services you can achieve the following benefits:
My target groups are decision makers in Business Development, Marketing Management, Product Management and IT-Management.

Strategy:
Focus:
Here comes my pure strategy concept. It's sharp, it's brilliant, it's proven and it's perfect to design your business strategy. It's modular, it serves to define and structure your business in a natural way, each module can be booked independently, as a package or modularized like:
Navigation:
Navigating the web and the site seems to be easy, but it is one of the most challenging tasks, when it comes to find and to be found. What are you looking for?
Design:
What is design? Design has many faces and does not only target layout, graphics and typography. It is also a part of strategy.
Metrics:
Ever wondered how many pageimpressions you have, where they come from and go to on your site, how long they stay? How high is your conversion rate?
Business:
Did you know, that there is around nine main models and around 40 sub-models on the web? And they are successful.
Markets:
I collected my market knowledge at Amazon.de and Vodafone live! and enhanced it through actual case studies of wellknown internet firms. Which market are you targeting?
Channel:
While going a way like Amazon.com, there is no channel-conflict at all. So the question is, how to manage and coordinate multi-channel distribution systems.
Trust:
How do you gain a customer's trust? Which way is right?
Security:
How to add sufficient security? SSL encryption is a standard and required when it comes to confidential data-exchange, but there is also a lot other security risks to be considered.
Ethics:
Vitreous customers, data analysis, personalisation, how far can and may someone go.
Contracts:
Design of online contracts.
Communication Structure:

Marketing and Technology:
Focus:
Only the best, most efficient and powerful functionalities and systems are presented and go into action. Covered areas: Content, community, transactions, the brightest systems from the software community, what they serve for and what you can do with them. The high dynamic of digital economy requires a continuous ajustment of the business concept, please consider what you're targeting:
Content and community:
With a focus on content and community a web portal is a web site that provides a starting point or a gateway to other resources on the internet or intranet. Visitors and customers can communicate, share interests and process their business in an efficient way. Internet technology lays the foundations therefor:
Transactions:
With a focus on transactions you offer your customers and visitors the advantage to pay online and process their orders 24 hours/day in a very efficient way. Again the internet technology lays the foundations therefor:

  Some More Hints about VoIP
Not that I mean it's necessary to use a PC and a headset, one can, but the great advantage of the FRITZ!BOX is that I can phone someone up anytime and anywhere sitting on my leather sofa using my normal analog phone parallel to PC and laptop, even without any internet connected computer it's possible, FRITZ!BOX handles that all for me.

  Some Personal Hints about VoIP
Some days ago I got my new Fritz!Box. It's a combination of VoIP, WLAN, LAN und more, which means I can do a lot with it:
As far I can say, it looks fantastic. It's easy to use and to configure, it's fast and it's got a lot of options I have not yet had the time to look at closer.
You can buy one now here (DE)

I hope that the german Regulierungsbehörde will be nice this year and split the rates for ISDN and DSL, since I'm paying for ISDN, but I'm not using it any more.

Other German VoIP Provider:
T-Online, 1&1 Internet AG, 1xnet, blueSIP, broadnet.mediascape, Freenet, GMX, Nikotel, PURtel, QSC, Sipgate, Sipsnip, Skype, Web.de
